You already have the required knowledge in sound engineering
and sound production. With the fast growing musical industry turning over
millions of Nair in, you can develop your own musical business and start
reaping from the growing industry. The steps below should guide you into
creating your own studio.
But before we go into the steps I want you to know that the music industry is a
serious business in Nigeria and it has also added value of the GDP of the country. When you make
good beats as its usually called among the young or upcoming starts you tend
to get more clients and then charge better money for the job you do.
You can enter into this business by carrying out the
following steps
1.
Get an apartment or an Office: You can comfortably run your studio business
from your home by converting one of your rooms into a studio. A lot of young
producers start up by doing this which will reduce cost of paying for a rented
apartment.
However, if you have the available resources to get a rented apartment, nothing
still stops you from doing that as long as you can work hard to recover the
money spent in getting that apartment.
Now that that is said we can move to the next step.
2.
Buying the equipment: Get the necessary
equipment you need to start your sound production like a computer, Mixer, high
quality bass production speakers, a piano and buy the software for sound
production like Fruity loops, a microphone. Enclose the perimeter of the studio
with sound proof doors and make it air tight for a better sound system.
